The ad Revenue structure for Shorts is little different than it is with long form content. Right now it is 55% of Ad budget to the Creator for long-form content but for Shorts it is going to be 45% to the Creator under the core YouTube Partner Program (YPP). The reason for this is that YouTube is going to allow you to monetize content that has licensed music in it. So if any creator is using licensed music it will not hamper your channel. Do not worry you are still going to get paid, you will get paid that 45% that extra amount of money of 10% will be going to the actual music Creator.
